These Purple Mystery Snails (Pomacea Bridgesii) are great for adding some color to your aquarium and are great at cleaning algae off of glass, plants, and decorations. They are able to co-habit well with any fish, shrimp, or plants, and are completely peaceful. They will not eat live plants, only decaying or dying plants. These snails grow to 3 inches in diameter as adults!
Mystery Snails are generally much more active and have more "personality" than most other types of freshwater snails. They will often climb up to the water line to breathe air using their air tube (or "snorkel", as referred to by many hobbyists), so it's a good idea to make sure the water line in your aquarium isn't too high. When they reach adulthood, they may lay a clutch of eggs above the waterline, provided there are at least 2-3 inches of clearance between the top of the aquarium and the water-line.
To maintain optimum health, consider supplementing their diet with various vegetable or algae wafer supplements or Snello, and ensure that your water does not get below 7PH, as acidic water may start to corrode their shells. You can add crushed coral of calcium carbonate to your tank to naturally increase the PH of your water over time.
NOTE: The snails you will receive are generally around marble size, sometimes adults, and the size and color of each Mystery Snail MAY vary slightly batch to batch due to them being live creatures with their own unique hues, patterns, and personalities. They can range from a lighter purple to a darker blackish purple, or a dark burgundy-purple, and the color of their shell may look a different hue in different types of lighting as shown in the example below:
ALL SNAILS COME UNSEXED. We are unable to take requests to be given a specific gender, size, color hue, etc. These snails can grow up to 3 inches and generally may have a higher bioload than other smaller snail species, so please ensure your tank has at least 2.5 gallons of water per full grown snail and to do frequent water changes.

So my post man are dumb they were late, everything was fine. Just the delivery was bad it says 3-4 days that is what I payed for it took almost 7 I was so mad thought they we going to be dead but all of them are fine.

I ordered one of these lovelies and it arrived today, safe and sound. Taro was out of its shell and moving around within about 30 minutes. The water soaked towel with them was ice cold, but it didn't seem to hurt them, and I brought them in almost as soon as the postie sat them on the mat.
Came well packed and insulated, it sat on my doorstep in 80 degree weather for a few hours (out of direct sunlight) and was fine. I followed the unpacking instructions and it was zooming around within the hour. It’s so much more fun to watch than the Nerites that I had before this. I have named it Shell-lock Holmes.
Shell-lock’s shell does appear to be slightly chipped. I’m making sure to feed plenty of calcium-rich leafy greens to make sure that heals up. The only thing is it’s barely touched the brown diatoms, despite cruising all over the plants where they’re the worst.
I purchased a few purple mystery snails and nerite snails after having a terrible experience with a different company. All snails arrived alive and healthy! They were packed so carefully and I’m sure the cold pack helped a lot because it was almost 90 degrees outside. The nerite snails were moving around within minutes and the mystery snails only took about an hour. I will only be ordering from you guys if I need any more in the future, you clearly care about your snails and your customers!
