Dwarf Hairgrass, or Eleocharis Parvula as it is scientifically known, is a great plant for beginners and seasoned aquarium keepers alike. It is an attractive bottom covering plant with long light green grass-like leaves. This species uses runners to propagate and will spread out in a thick carpet of grass.

NOTE: Each portion is a clump, similar to what is shown in the second picture

Just as advertised and follow through

Product came to AZ on a 94degree day notification it was delivered allowed for fast removal from Mail box purchased cold pack for transport plants all alive and well. Replanted in sand substrate plants are thriving and well. All instructions were very thorough and easy to understand. And product was as advertised

Quick Growth

I've ordered this plant twice; each time it arrived healthy looking. It was very quick to send off little shoots and make more little hairgrass babies. :) P.S. My tank has no CO2.

Healthy and thriving

This is my first carpeting plant. I do run CO2 so keep that in mind when reading my experience. I split the bunches up in to quite a few smaller ones. I had read that 5 blades was a good minimum when doing this so I aimed a bit higher. All the bunches seem to be thriving. I have lost some blades into the tank either from the water flow or fish digging around. But overall they seem to be very healthy and I see new blades sprouting up nearby many of the original bunches which means they are starting to carpet as intended. Very happy with this purchase.

I might need co2

This carpeting plant is doing honestly very well in my tank considering it really needs co2 to flourish. I love how it’s slowly taking over any open space it can find. It makes me happy that even in the winter months I can still cut grass lol.
